여름이 다가오고 눈이 녹으면서 앵커리 지 전역의 골프장이 다시 문을 열고 있 다. 야외에서의 즐거움과 여유를 만끽할 수 있는 계절이 돌아오면서, 한인 골퍼 들도 다시 필드로 나설 준비를 하고 있 다. 앵커리지 한인 뉴스는 5월 2일 (금) Anchorage Golf Course와 O’Malley on the Greens를 찾아 골프장 상태와 시설 을 미리 살펴보았다.

이날 골프장 잔디 상태는 양호했고, 햇살 이 비추는 맑은 날씨 속에서 상쾌한 라운 드를 즐길 수 있었다. 다만, 다소 강한 바 람이 스윙에 도전 요소가 되었으며, 퍼팅 그린은 아직 정비 중이라 사용이 어려웠 다. 그럼에도 불구하고 겨울 동안 골프를 쉬었던 골퍼들에게는 충분히 만족스러운 경험이었다.

O’Malley on the Greens는 여유롭고 편안 한 분위기를 제공하며, 라운드 중 간단한 음료를 즐길 수도 있다. 처음 방문하는 이들에게는 클럽을 직접 지참해야 하며, 골프장 이용 시 클럽이 필수라는 점을 유 의해야 한다. 아직 골프 카트는 운영되지 않아 개인용 풀카트 사용을 추천하지만, 향후 1~2주 내에는 운영이 재개될 가능 성도 있다.

라운드를 마친 후에는 현장 바에서 휴식 을 취할 수 있으며, 매주 금요일 밤에는 라이브 음악 공연도 즐길 수 있어 정기 방문객과 신규 방문객 모두에게 인기 있 는 명소로 자리 잡고 있다.

본격적인 골프 시즌이 시작되면서 Anchorage Golf Course와 O’Malley on the Greens는 한인 골퍼들이 자연 속에서 함 께 어울리고 교류할 수 있는 훌륭한 지역 명소로 자리매김하고 있다.

Anchorage Golf Course는 O’Malley Road 3651번지에 위치해 있으며, 운영 시간은 화요일부터 목요일까지는 오전 11시 30 분부터 오후 8시 30분까지, 금요일은 오 전 11시 30분부터 오후 9시까지이다. 일 요일 브런치는 오전 10시부터 오후 2시 30분까지 제공된다. 자세한 정보와 공식 개장 일정은 www.anchoragegolfcourse.com을 통해 확인할 수 있다.

As Summer sets in and the snow melts away, golf courses across Anchorage are beginning to open, welcoming Korean golfers back to the greens for another season of outdoor fun and leisure. On Friday, May 2nd, Anchorage Korean News visited Anchorage Golf Course/ O’Malley on the Greens to get an early look at the course conditions and offerings.

The day brought fair grass conditions and sunny skies, though a brisk breeze added a bit of challenge to each swing. While the putting greens are still undergoing maintenance and not yet ready for play, the rest of the course offered a satisfying experience for early-season golfers looking to shake off the winter rust.

O’Malley on the Greens provides a laid-back and enjoyable environment, with golfers able to bring a few drinks along during their rounds. For first-time visitors, it’s important to note that you’ll need to bring your own set of clubs, as clubs are required on the course. Golf carts were not available yet, so a golf pull cart is recommended, although that may change in the coming week or two. After a round, players can relax at the on-site bar, which features live music every Friday night, adding to the social and inviting atmosphere that draws both regulars and newcomers alike.

As golf season gets into full swing, Anchorage Golf Course/ O’Malley on the Greens remains a great local spot for Korean golf enthusiasts to reconnect, enjoy the outdoors, and tee off together.
