On April 1st, Anchorage held its municipal election. As we await the final certified results, early unofficial results from April 4th offer insight into how voters are leaning on key propositions that will shape the city’s public safety, infrastructure, and community spaces.

In Anchorage’s General Election, voters select Assembly and School Board members, as well as vote on various bond and levy propositions. These decisions determine how local tax dollars will be spent on essential services and improvements across the municipality.

This article provides a snapshot of the unofficial results based on data from the Municipality of Anchorage website and an email update from Mayor LaFrance.

2025 Bond Propositions

Public Safety Bonds

Proposition 4: Police Service Area Bond

Supports police services, mechanical upgrades, and ADA improvements to police facilities.
