앵커리지, 알래스카 – 지난 12월 15일( 일) 저녁, 앵커리지 지역 한인 교회들이 한자리에 모여 성탄절 연합예배를 드리 며 예수 그리스도의 탄생을 기념했다. 이번 연합예배는 신앙과 기도, 교제를 통해 성탄의 참된 의미를 나누고, 한인 교회 공동체의 연합을 다지는 뜻깊은 시 간으로 마련됐다.

이날 예배에는 앵커리지 한인 기독교 공 동체의 목회자들과 교회 지도자들이 함 께 참여해 연합의 정신을 실천했다. 예 배 전반은 하나 됨과 감사, 그리고 성탄 절이 전하는 소망과 평화의 메시지에 초 점을 맞춰 진행됐다.

예배 순서 및 말씀

예배는 묵도로 시작해 기원과 회중 찬 송으로 이어졌으며, 성경봉독으로는 마 태복음 2장 1절부터 12절 말씀이 낭독 됐다. 이는 동방 박사들이 별을 따라 아 기 예수께 경배하러 온 이야기를 전하는 본문이다.

말씀 선포는 하영종 목사가 ‘성탄의 기쁨’이라는 제목으로 전했으며, 그리 스도의 탄생이 지닌 영적 의미와 함께 온 세상에 주는 기쁨과 평화, 소망의 메 시지를 강조했다.

교제와 공동체 나눔

예배를 준비한 관계자들은 참석한 모 든 목회자와 장로, 교회들, 그리고 장소 를 제공한 주최 교회에 감사의 뜻을 전 했다. 예배 후에는 각 교회가 정성껏 준 비한 음식을 나누는 친교 시간이 마련되 어, 교단과 교회를 넘어 한인 기독교 공 동체의 유대감을 더욱 깊게 하는 계기 가 됐다.

또한 예배와 친교를 위해 수고한 자원 봉사 교인들에게도 특별한 감사가 전해 졌다.

기도와 연합의 당부

광고 시간에는 알래스카 지역 한인 교 회들의 영적 부흥과 지역사회의 평안과 복지를 위해 지속적인 기도를 부탁하는 당부가 이어졌다. 교회 지도자들은 이번 성탄절 연합예배가 교회 간 연합과 협력 의 중요성을 다시 한번 일깨워 주는 의 미 있는 시간이 되었다고 전했다.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — On the evening of Sunday, December 15th, Korean churches in Anchorage came together to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas through a Joint Christmas Worship Service, uniting congregations in faith, prayer, and fellowship to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. The service was held in a spirit of unity, with pastors and church leaders from across the Korean Christian community participating together. The joint worship emphasized togetherness, gratitude, and the message of hope and peace brought by Christmas.

Worship Program and Message

The service opened with a silent prayer, followed by an invocation and congregational hymns sung together by attendees. Scripture was read from Matthew 2:1–12, recounting the story of the Magi who followed the star to worship the newborn Jesus.

The sermon, titled “The Joy of Christmas,” was delivered by Pastor Ha Young Jong, who shared a message reminding the congregation of thespiritual significance of Christ’s birth and the joy, peace, and hope it brings to the world.

Community and Fellowship

Organizers expressed gratitude to all participating pastors, elders, and churches, as well as to the host church for providing the venue. Following the service, a fellowship gathering was held where members from different churches shared food prepared by each congregation, strengthening bonds within the Korean Christian community.

Special thanks were also extended to church members who volunteered their time and efforts to prepare the service and fellowship meal.

A Call for Prayer and Unity

During announcements, participants were encouraged to continue praying for the spiritual revival of Korean churches in Alaska and for the well-being of the broader local community. Church leaders emphasized that the joint Christmas worship service serves as a reminder of the importance of unity and cooperation among churches.
