앵커리지 한인회(Korean American Community of Anchorage, KACA)는 연 중 다양한 문화·교육·시민 행사를 통해 한인사회와 알래스카 지역사회를 연결하는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.

매년 가장 큰 기대를 모으는 행사 중 하 나는 장학의 날(Scholarship Day)이다.

이 행사에서는 학업 성취, 리더십, 봉사 활동 등에서 두각을 나타낸 한인 학생 들을 격려하고 장학금을 수여한다. 장 학의 날은 우수 학생들에게 실질적인 재정적 지원을 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 차 세대에게 교육과 공동체 참여의 중요성 을 강조하는 의미 있는 자리다. 가족들 과 지역사회 지도자, 후원자들이 함께 모여 알래스카 한인 청소년들의 성취를 축하하고, 앞으로의 성장을 응원한다.

또 다른 대표적인 연례 행사로는 코리 아-알래스카 우정의 날(Korea-Alaska Friendship Day)이 있다. 이 행사는 한국 과 알래스카 간의 굳건한 유대 관계를 보여주는 대규모 문화 축제로, 전통 한 국 공연, K-팝 댄스, 태권도 시범, 문화 체험 부스, 다양한 한식 음식 등이 선보 인다. 다양한 배경을 가진 알래스카 주 민들이 참여해 한국의 문화와 언어, 전 통을 경험할 수 있도록 하는 가교 역할 을 하고 있다.

이 밖에도 한인회는 설날과 추석 등 명 절 행사, 시니어 감사 행사, 청소년 리더 십 프로그램, 지역 비즈니스 및 비영리 단체를 지원하는 네트워킹 모임 등 다 양한 활동을 꾸준히 개최하고 있다.

이러한 지속적인 노력 속에서 앵커리지 한인회는 한인 정체성을 지키고 차세대 리더를 육성하며, 점점 더 다양해지는 알래스카 사회 속에서 공동체의 화합을 이끌어가고 있다.

Throughout the year, the Korean American Community of Anchorage (KACA) plays a vital role in bringing together Koreans and the greater Alaska community through meaningful cultural, educational, and civic events. One of the most anticipated events each year is Scholarship Day, where local Korean-American students are recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and service. The event not only provides financial support to deserving students but also highlights the importance of education and community involvement for the next generation. Families, community leaders, and supporters gather to celebrate the achievements of Alaska’s Korean youth and encourage them toward continued success.

Another major annual celebration is Korea–Alaska Friendship Day, a vibrant cultural festival that showcases the strong ties between Korea and the State of Alaska. The event typically features traditional Korean performances, K-pop dance, taekwondo demonstrations, cultural booths, and authentic Korean cuisine. It serves as a bridge between communities, welcoming Alaskans of all backgrounds to experience Korean heritage, language, and traditions.

In addition to these signature events, the community regularly hosts holiday gatherings such as Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok celebrations, senior appreciation events, youth leadership programs, and networking meetings that support local businesses and nonprofit organizations. Through these ongoing efforts, the Korean American Community of Anchorage continues to preserve cultural identity, invest in future leaders, and foster unity within Alaska’s diverse and growing population.
