2025년 6월 20일부터 22일까지 텍사스 달라스에서 열린 제23회 미주 한인체육 대회(Korean American National Sports Festival)에 알래스카 한인 체육회 소속 선수들이 참가해 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌습니다.
족구, 농구, 배드민턴 등 총 3개 종목에서 기량을 펼친 선수들은 경기 결과뿐만 아니라 지역사회 소통, 건강한 삶, 청소년 참여의 중요성을 강조하며 의미 있는 교류의 장을 만들었습니다.
알래스카 선수단 주요 경기 결과 족구(시니어 부문): 7개 팀 중 3위 입상
농구: 아쉽게도 예선 탈락
배드민턴: 3명의 선수가 참가했으며, 17 세 유재성 선수가 단식 부문에서 4위를
기록

이번 대회는 단순한 경기 이상의 의미를 남겼습니다. 참가자들은 “알래스카에서도 체육활동을 통한 건강 증진과 공동체
의식을 높일 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 마련해야 한다”고 강조하며, 족구 교실, 청소년 농구 리그, 배드민턴 워크숍 등
지역사회에 도움이 될 체육 활동의 확대 필요성을 전했습니다. 알래스카 한인 체육회는 앞으로도 스포츠를 통한 세대 간 소통과 건강한 삶의 실천을 지속적으로 도모해나갈 계획입니다.
Members of the Alaska Korean American Sports Association recently took part in an inspiring weekend of competition at the 23rd Korean American National Sports Festival held this spring in Dallas from June 20th – June 22th
Athletes showcased their talents across three sports—jokgu (Korean foot volleyball), basketball, and badminton—while also emphasizing the importance of community connection, healthy living, and youth outreach in Alaska.
Results from the 23rd Korean American National Sports Festival – Alaska Team
The Alaska team participated in the 23rd Korean American National Sports. Festival, and the results are as follows:
Jokgu (Foot Volleyball) – The Senior Team placed 3rd out of 7 teams.
Basketball – Unfortunately, the team was eliminated during the preliminary round.
Badminton – Three players participated, and 17-year-old Jaesung Yoo placed 4th in the singles division.
