광어 낚시 시즌은 2025년 3월 20일 공 식 개막되었으며, 남동 알래스카에서는 어족 자원의 감소로 상업 어획량 제한이 전년 350만 파운드에서 올해 300만 파 운드로 줄었다. 스포츠 낚시 시즌은 2월 1일부터 12월 31일까지 운영된다. 남동 알래스카(2C 구역)에서는 차터 낚시꾼 에게 하루 한 마리의 광어 낚시만 허용되며, 크기 제한이 있으며 5월 13일부터 9월 9일까지는 매주 화요일 낚시가 금 지된다. 남중부 알래스카(3A 구역)에서 는 하루 두 마리의 광어를 낚을 수 있으 나, 크기 제한이 있으며 해당 기간 동안 화요일과 수요일은 낚시가 금지된다.

링코드 및 기타 어종

Sockeye Salmon Surge in the Kenai River

The Kenai River is anticipating one of its strongest sockeye salmon runs in recent years. Projections estimate over 4.19 million sockeye returning to the river, a 26% increase above the 10-year average. King Salmon Restrictions Continue

Conservation measures remain in place for king salmon in several regions. Notably, the Kenai River will be closed to all king salmon fishing in 2025, including both early and late runs, to support ongoing recovery efforts. In Southeast Alaska, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) has set the all-gear catch limit for treaty Chinook salmon at 133,500 fish. Halibut Season Underway with New Regulations

The halibut season commenced on March 20, 2025, with a reduced commercial catch limit of just over 3 million pounds in Southeast Alaska, down from 3.5 million pounds in 2024, due to a decline in stock status. For sport anglers, the season runs from February 1 through December 31, 2025. In Southeast Alaska (Area 2C), charter anglers are limited to one halibut per day, with size restrictions in place, and no retention allowed on Tuesdays from May 13 to September 9. In Southcentral Alaska (Area 3A), anglers may retain two halibut per day, with specific size limits, and no retention is allowed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the same period.

Lingcod and Other Species

Lingcod fishing is open from May 16 to June 14 and again from August 16 to November 30, 2025. Anglers are reminded of the size and possession limits in place to ensure sustainable harvests. (Angling Unlimited)
