알래스카 앵커리지 대학교(University of Alaska Anchorage, UAA)의 한인학생회 (KOSA)가 4월 3일 베이크 세일을 성공 적으로 개최하며 본격적인 모금 활동을 시작했습니다. 이번 행사는 KOSA가 앞 으로 매 격주 목요일마다 캠퍼스에서 진 행할 일련의 모금 행사 중 첫 번째로 열 렸습니다.
최근 설립된 KOSA는 빠르게 성장하며 UAA 캠퍼스 내 학생 생활에서 활기차고 중요한 역할을 하고 있습니다. 이 클럽 은 한국계 및 한인 미국인 학생들이 캠 퍼스 내에서 소속감과 유대감을 느낄 수 있는 따뜻한 공간을 제공하고 있습니다.
KOSA는 자체 활동뿐만 아니라 UAA e 스포츠 클럽, 카바얀 필리피노 클럽 (Kabayan Filipino Club) 등 다양한 학생 단체들과도 협력하고 있으며, 이들 클럽 은 함께 문화 다양성과 상호 지원을 중 시하는 역동적이고 협력적인 네트워크 를 형성하고 있습니다.
KOSA의 영향력은 캠퍼스를 넘어 앵커 리지의 한인 커뮤니티에도 미치고 있습 니다. 클럽 회원들은 지역의 한인 청년 단체인 NEXGEN과도 협력하며, 차세대 리더들과의 소통과 성장을 위한 활동에 도 적극 참여하고 있습니다.
KOSA는 앞으로도 성장해 나가며, 캠퍼 스 안팎에서 교류, 문화 이해, 커뮤니티 형성을 위한 다양한 기회를 창출해 나갈 계획입니다. 베이크 세일과 같은 행사를 통해 KOSA는 단순히 기금 마련에 그치 지 않고, 앵커리지 내 활발한 한인 커뮤 니티의 존재감을 알리는 데에도 중요한 역할을 하고 있습니다.

The Korean Student Association (KOSA) at the University of Alaska Anchorage has officially launched its fundraising efforts, beginning with a successful bake sale held on April 3rd. This marks the first of many events planned by the student group, which intends to continue holding bake sales every other Thursday on campus.
KOSA, which was recently established, is quickly becoming a vibrant and integral part of student life at UAA. The club serves as a welcoming space for Korean and Korean American students, helping them feel a sense of connection and belonging within the university community.
Beyond its own activities, KOSA has also partnered with other student organizations, such as the UAA eSports Club and the Kabayan Filipino Club. Together, these clubs are forming a dynamic and collaborative network that celebrates cultural diversity and mutual support.
KOSA’s influence extends beyond campus, as its members are also active in the broader Korean-American community of Anchorage. The group has collaborated with NEXGEN, an organization representing Korean American young adults in the city, to further engage and uplift the next generation of leaders.
As the club continues to grow, it remains committed to creating opportunities for connection, cultural exchange, and community building—both on and off campus. Through events like their bake sale, KOSA is not only raising funds but also raising awareness of the vibrant Korean American presence in Anchorage.
