알래스카 음악 신에서 주목받고 있는 두 아티스트가 이번 달 고향 앵커리지로 돌 아와 팬들과 친구들을 만나며 에너지 넘 치는 공연을 펼쳤다. 현재 음악 활동을 위해 로스앤젤레스에 거주 중인 음악 듀 오 Husse(임현수)와 Machel(유마이클)은 앵커리지를 방문해 이들의 독창적인 재 능과 지역사회와의 깊은 연결을 보여주 는 무대를 선보였다.

귀향 첫 공연은 7월 10일 금요일, 앵 커리지 한식-멕시칸 퓨전 레스토랑 ‘Seoul Casa’에서 열렸다. 이 날 애 프터아워 이벤트에서 Machel은 최신 팝 음악과 클래식한 한국 곡들을 절묘하게 믹스한 DJ 세트를 선보였으며, 현지 DJ 인 Mark Jacobs과 Claynation도 함께 무 대에 올라 밤 늦도록 분위기를 뜨겁게 달궜다.

이튿날인 7월 11일 토요일에는 Husse 가 다운타운 앵커리지의 타운 스퀘어에 서 열린 ‘Sundown Spotlight’ 무대에 올라 밴드 멤버들과 함께 감성과 에너지 가 가득한 얼터너티브 음악을 선보였다. 이번 행사는 Showdown Production이 주최한 무료 커뮤니티 콘서트로, 연령에 관계없이 많은 지역 주민들이 함께하며 지역 음악의 다양성과 매력을 즐길 수 있는 자리였다. 이날 밤 공연은 Van’s Dive Bar에서의 친밀한 무대로 마무리 되며 팬들과 더욱 가까이 소통하는 시간 을 가졌다.

하지만 이들의 공연은 아직 끝나지 않 았다. Husse는 7월 19일 금요일 오후 12시, Hilltop Ski Area에서 열리는 Rock The Hill 콘서트 무대에 다시 오를 예정 이다. 앵커리지 콘서트 협회(Anchorage Concert Association)가 주최하는 이 행 사는 음악과 햇살, 지역 공동체가 어우 러지는 축제로, 많은 관객이 모일 것으 로 기대된다.

로스앤젤레스에서 활발히 활동 중인 두 아티스트이지만, 앵커리지에서의 이번 공연은 그들이 여전히 알래스카에 뿌리 를 두고 있음을 상기시킨다. 장르와 문 화를 넘나드는 음악적 감각으로, Husse 와 Machel은 알래스카를 대표하는 뮤 지션으로서 미국 음악계에서 꾸준히 존 재감을 넓혀가고 있다. 이제 시작일 뿐 이다.

Two rising stars from Alaska’s music scene made a triumphant return to their hometown this month, reuniting with fans and friends through a series of high-energy performances. Music duo Husse (Hyunsoo Lim) and Machel (Michael Yoo), both currently based in Los Angeles to pursue their music careers, visited Anchorage for shows that showcased their unique talents and deep connection to the local community.

Their homecoming kicked off on Friday, July 10th, with an after-hours event at Seoul Casa, a popular Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant. The night featured a DJ set by Machel, who delivered an eclectic mix of current hits blended seamlessly with classic Korean tracks. Local DJs Mark Jacobs and Claynation also joined the lineup, adding to the electric atmosphere that kept the crowd moving late into the night.

The momentum continued the next day on Saturday, July 11th, as Husse took the stage at the Sundown Spotlight event in Anchorage Town Square. Hosted by Showdown Production, the free community concert brought out music lovers of all ages to enjoy local talent in the heart of downtown. Husse, known for his bright vocals and smooth guitar work, performed alongside his bandmates, delivering an alternative set filled with emotion and energy. The night wrapped up with an intimate performance at Van’s Dive Bar, where the group connected closely with local fans.

But the music doesn’t stop there — Husse is set to perform again on Friday, July 19th, at 12 p.m. for the Rock the Hill concert at Hilltop Ski Area. The event, hosted by the Anchorage Concert Association, is expected to draw a large crowd for a day of music, sunshine, and community celebration. While both artists are making waves in Los Angeles, their return to Anchorage reminds fans that their roots run deep in Alaska. With a sound that bridges cultures and genres, Husse and Machel continue to represent the Last Frontier on a national stage — and they’re just getting started.
