쉽 크릭 (Ship Creek, 앵커리지): 7월 18일 기준, 킹 연어(Chinook)의 회 귀가 양호하여 성체 킹 연어 1,000마리 이상이 하천으로 돌아왔다. 한편, 실버 연어(Coho)의 어군도 점점 증가하고 있 으며, 낚시꾼들 사이에서는 핑크 연어 (Pink salmon)가 매우 풍부하다는 보고 가 이어지고 있다. 추천되는 낚시 방법 으로는 숙성된 새우나 연어알을 찌 아 래에 달아 지깅하거나, 조수가 밀려오는 시점에 미디엄급 스피너를 캐스팅하는 방법이 있다.

버드 크릭 (Bird Creek):

7월 14일부터 낚시가 허용되었으며, 핑 크 연어가 풍부하게 서식하고 있고 챔 연어(Chum salmon)도 일부 발견되고 있 다. 실버 연어(Coho) 어군도 점차 증가 하고 있어 좋은 낚시 기회를 제공한다. ( 출처: 알래스카 어류 및 야생동물국)

캠벨 크릭 (Campbell Creek):

역시 7월 14일부터 실버 연어 낚시가 허용되었으며, 지난 주 내린 비로 인해 일부 Coho가 유입되었다. 그러나 앞으 로 이어질 무더운 날씨는 어획 활동에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 참고로, 7월 31일까 지 긴급 규정이 적용되어 바늘은 하나만 사용할 수 있고 미끼 사용은 금지된다. 케나이 반도 – 소키아이 연어 대량 유입 케나이 강(Kenai River)에서는 단 이틀 만에 20만 마리가 넘는 소키아이 연어 (홍연어)가 통과하며 전례 없는 규모의 어군 이동이 관측되었다. 앵커리지 인근 에서 성공적인 킹 연어(Chinook salmon) 시즌을 마친 후, 낚시꾼들의 관심은 이 제 붉은 연어로 옮겨가고 있다.

어장 (1-B 구역):

7월 20일부터 4일간 개방된 이 어장에 서, 30번째 통계 주간 동안 약 1,200마 리의 소키아이, 16,000마리의 핑크 연 어(Pink salmon), 34,000마리의 챔 연어 (Chum salmon), 그리고 킹 연어와 실버 연어(Coho salmon) 각각 100마리씩이 어획되었다. 어획 활동량은 예년보다 다 소 낮은 수준이었다.

브리스톨 베이(Bristol Bay) 유역 – 기록

적인 연어 회귀

브리스톨 베이 지역은 현재까지 약 5,170만 마리의 연어가 돌아오며 사전 예측치를 100만 마리 이상 초과하였다.

낙넥-크비착(Naknek-Kvichak) 등 주요 지역에서의 강력한 회귀가 전체 성과를 주도하고 있다.

서부 알래스카 및 베링해 – 혼획 현황 M 구역 (알래스카 남부 반):

7월 18일 기준으로, 상업 어업을 통해 약 58만 8,700마리의 챔 연어와 4,100 마리의 킹 연어가 어획되었다.

Southcentral Fisheries: Kenai Peninsula Sockeye Surge

The Kenai River has seen a rapid sockeye salmon run, with over 200,000 red (sockeye) fish passing through in just two days. Anglers attention has shifted from Chinook to reds following a successful king salmon season near Anchorage. Commercial Salmon Harvests – Southeast/Aleutian Regions Tree Point drift gillnet fishery (Section 1-B, Southeast Alaska): Opened July 20 for four days. During statistical week 30, harvest included approximately 1,200 sockeye, 16,000 pink, 34,000 chum, 100 Chinook, and 100 coho salmon. Effort was slightly below average for the period.

Bristol Bay Basin: Record Salmon Returns

Bristol Bay has now surpassed its preseason forecast, with a preliminary total run of about 51.7 million salmon (~1 million fish above forecast), led by robust returns to Naknek-Kvichak and other districts.

Western Alaska & Bering Sea Bycatch Area M (South Alaska Peninsula): As of July 18, commercial fisheries have landed approximately 588,700 chum salmon and 4,100 Chinook salmon.
