5월 17일 토요일에 앵커리지 한글학교 는 2024~2025학년도 수료식을 했다. 이날 수료식에서는 일년 동안 열심히 공 부한 학생들에게 수료증을 나누어 주었 고, 한 학년 동안 개근을 한 학생 보라반 데니타(외국인 반)에게는 내년 한 학기 장학금을 부상으로 주었다.

학력경시대회에서 좋은 성적을 얻은 학 생, 각 반에서 출석과 성적, 숙제 등을 잘 한 학생들에게는 모범상을 수여했다. 서 북미 협회 말하기 대회에 참여하여 장 려상을 받은 윤준서 학생과, 보조교사를 한 고3 학생 4명에게는 각 $500의 장학 금이 주어졌으며, 그 외 보조교사들에게 는 선물권이 전달되었다. 10년간 근속하 신 이미양 교사는 표창장을 받았다.

무용반 학생들은 그동안 배운 부채춤을 선보였고, 상모 공연도 전교생 앞에서 진행되었다.

한 해의 마무리를 하고 내년에 다시 만 나기를 기약하며 여름방학에 들어갔다. 앵커리지 한글학교는 9월에 새 학년을 시작하며, 새 학생 등록은 7월 중순경에 온라인으로 받을 예정이다. 자세한 일정 은 신문을 통해 안내할 예정이다.

On Saturday, May 17, the Anchorage Korean Language School held its 2024–2025 end-of-year graduation ceremony. During the ceremony, certificates were awarded to students who studied diligently throughout the year. A perfect attendance award, along with a scholarship for one semester next year, was given to Danita from the Bora Class (for non-Korean speakers).

Students who achieved excellent results in the academic competition and those who demonstrated outstanding performance in attendance, grades, and homework received exemplary student awards. Yoon Jun-seo, who received an honorable mention at the Northwest U.S. Korean Speech Contest, was also recognized. Four high school seniors who served as assistant teachers were each awarded a $500 scholarship. Other assistant teachers received gift cards, and long-time teacher Lee Mi-yang, who has served for 10 years, was honored with a certificate of recognition.

Students from the dance class showcased the traditional fan dance they had been practicing, and a sangmo (Korean traditional spinning hat) performance was presented to the entire school.

The school year came to a close with hopes of reuniting next year, as students entered summer break. The Anchorage Korean Language School will begin its new academic year in September, with online registration for new students opening around mid-July.
