On May 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the Anchorage Korean School Choir, composed of 14 students, participated in the 32nd Annual Choir Festival held in Seattle. Among 13 schools from the Pacific Northwest region, the Anchorage Korean School was unable to attend in person due to distance, but participated via video and received the “Energy Award.”

This event provided an opportunity for the students to showcase the skills they had diligently practiced by gathering 30 minutes before class each week. Under the guidance of teachers Hyemi Lee and Hyunsook Lee, the choir performed a medley of cartoon theme songs this year and received high praise. The performance video is available to watch on YouTube.

The students who participated in this choir festival are: Junhee Kim, Sieun Allen, Youngi Shin, Hyunah Shim, Junseo Yoon, Se-eun Lee, Ye-eun Allen, Yuhun Lim, Jiyu Lim, Hayun Jang, Dayu Jung, Haeun Allen, and Claire Jang (14 students total).

2026년 5월 2일 오후3시에 시애틀에서 열린 제 32회 합창제에 14명으로 구성된 앵커리지 한글학교 합창단이 참여했다. 서북미 지역 13개 학교가 참여한 가운데 앵커리지 한글학교는 거리상의 이유로 직접 참여하지는 못했지만 동영상으로 참여하여 ‘에너지 뿜뿜상’을수 상했다. 매주 수업 시작 30분 전에 모여서 갈고 닦은 실력을 힘껏 발휘하는 기회였다. 이혜미, 이현숙 교사의 지도로 훈련된 합창반은 올해는 만화 주제곡 메들리 노래로 많은 찬사를 받았다. 동영상은 유튜브를 통해 시청할 수있다.
